Paint Correction
Paint correction is a professional detailing process designed to permanently remove surface imperfections such as swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and water spots. Using advanced machine polishing techniques and professional-grade compounds, we carefully level the vehicle’s clear coat to restore a deep, high-gloss, showroom-quality finish.
Our process begins with a thorough wash and paint decontamination using a clay bar to remove embedded contaminants. From there, we use specialized polishers, pads, and polishing compounds to safely remove a microscopic layer of the clear coat, eliminating imperfections and dramatically improving the clarity and shine of your vehicle’s paint.
Levels of Paint Correction
One-Step Correction
A single polishing stage designed to enhance gloss and remove light imperfections such as minor swirl marks and haze.
Results: Approximately 50–80% improvement in paint clarity.
Two-Step Correction
A compounding stage to remove deeper scratches and heavier defects, followed by a polishing stage to restore maximum gloss and clarity.
Results: Approximately 70–90% defect removal.
Multi-Step / Advanced Correction
An intensive multi-stage process that may include heavy compounding, fine polishing, and sometimes wet sanding to remove severe paint defects and achieve the highest possible finish.
Results: Up to 95% or more defect removal.
Time Required
Paint correction time varies depending on the condition of the paint and the level of correction required.
One-step corrections may take 3–4 hours
Multi-step corrections can take 10–30 hours or several days
Long-Term Protection
Paint correction permanently improves the finish by removing imperfections from the clear coat. To maintain the results, we strongly recommend protecting the paint afterward with a sealant or ceramic coating, which helps prevent new scratches, oxidation, and environmental damage.
